January 2009 - BCI and AESI partner on Power Utility Opportunities.

April 2008 - BCI qualifies for the LAC Recordkeeping Standing Offer Agreement (RK SOA).

 

BCI is pleased to announce our recent qualification for two streams on the LAC RK SOA. BCI placed first on two of five streams on the recently awarded SOA. BCI is qualified to provide professional services on the Policy, Legal & Regulatory and the e-Records Sustainability steams.

 

The Policy, Legal & Regulatory stream includes providing Consulting and Advisory Services related to the development of broad-based cultural transformations and the establishment of regulatory instruments to address Recordkeeping issues within the public sector.

 

The e-Records Sustainability stream includes providing Consulting and Advisory Services related to the development of an integrated work plan for e-Recordkeeping in the GoC which includes a governance model for a comprehensive e-record sustainability strategy.

 

LAC is a national source of enduring knowledge accessible to all, contributing the cultural, social and economic advancement of Canada as a free and democratic society by preserving Canada’s documentary heritage. This heritage includes publications, archival records, sound and audio visual materials, photographs, artworks, and electronic documents such as websites. As part of LAC’s mandate, LAC works closely with other archives and libraries to acquire and share these materials as widely as possible.

 

 

 

December 2007 - RM Implementation at World Health Organization (WHO).

 

Bridgetown Consulting is please to announce the completion of a 9000 seat LiveLink RM implementation at the World Health Organization in Geneva Switzerland.

 

The project included the creation and implementation of a Function Based File Classification Filing System and included integration with an Oracle ERP system as well as integration with Microsoft SharePoint 2007. The client needed the job done right, and done quickly, and BCI delivered. We led the project, through procurement to installation in under three months.

 

 

 

September 2007 - Second Annual Malaysian IM Conference.

 

Bridgetown Consulting is co-managing the second annual International IM Conference in Sarawak Malaysia. The conference is being held between February 25 and 29, 2008 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia with the intent of showcasing IM initiatives in the Canadian Federal Government and private sector areas.

 

This conference, which brings together the regional Federal and Malaysian State Governments in South East Asia, as well as being open to private sector participants, will focus on the Asset Management of information holdings.

 

The four key areas will be:
   * Document standards based on business activities
   * Human resources challenges for supporting RM/IM
   * Case studies
   * Enabling technologies

 

At last year's event the State Government of Sarawak invited the Canadian Federal Government to attend and speak to the successes in IM in Canada. Every departmental CIO from Sarawak, as well as representation from the other Malaysian States, the Malaysian Federal Government, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the private sector attended the conference.

 

Presentations from last years conference included projects from LAC, Agriculture Canada, CIDA, DFAIT, and an analysis of the Accenture report that has consistently ranked Canada first in e-government.

 

The event is again sponsored by the Information Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) of the State government of Sarawak which holds a mandate similar to that of the Treasury Board in Canada with respect to IM/IT, and also has sole discretion to approve all IM/IT expenditures of every department.

 

 

 

January 2006 - BCI qualifies for RDIMS Supply Arrangement.

 

We are pleased to announce our recent qualification for the Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) RDIMS Supply Arrangement.

 

RDIMS (pronounced "R-DIMS") is a Canadian Federal Government shared system initiative addressing information management problems. A set of tightly integrated commercial-off-the-shelf software products make up the RDIMS solution. RDIMS integrates records management, document management, imaging, optical character recognition, full-text indexing search and retrieval, workflow, an on-line document viewer and reporting capabilities.
